Painting thru Life's Ups and Downs 01/03/2017

Here we are at the start of a new year and the holidays are over for most of us.

During the month of December , as busy as my business gets, life still happens. In the throughs of getting

mama straightened out with heart issues, medical insurances and Doctor appointments, I actually found some time to paint!

Surprised myself and hardly noticed that I was making time to do the thing that makes my heart sign and time goes unnoticed.

One of the paintings turned out to be a holiday gift to someone that has a very successful career and we knew that this present was one of a personal nature and would mean alot. So I painted one of my 1st snow scenes. I struggled, one because I hate winter and two because I use

so much color in my paintings.

So i reduced it down to a handful of colors and got to work laying down my first layer of paint. Along the way I had others who had been at this particular landscape in person see the painting in progress.  They loved it and were in awe. No me , I felt I was not done at all. So I let it sit for a while and then got back to it as if I was painting it for myself and not someone in mind, that is the way i prefer to paint. The struggles starting clearing up and I began to flow. Not only did I paint that snow scene, I had decided in my mind and thru talking to my honey that I would also paint it in color and maybe go as far as painting the same scene through each season. Im still thinking on that one. I did paint it in colors and I love it!

Felt great to to paint as I navigated my way through the extra drama in my life. I think it was my way of staying sane and grounded. Thank you painting , i am forever grateful.

Carry On Painting no matter what!
